Five years ago I completed my surgical residency and opened a solo practice in general surgery. I was very fortunate because I hired personnel with extensive experience in medical billing and coding. Before my becoming a physician I was a certified public accountant in an international accounting firm. My attention to patient care is always first and foremost in my daily work; however my accounting background forgoes my being able to ignore the financial issues of my medical practice. I made a decision to assemble an extraordinary group of individuals to offer compliant coding and timely billing services to other physicians.
